Mohammad Ansar was born and brought up in Kerala, India. He completed his Engineering bachelor's in Polymer Science from Cochin University of science and technology (CUSAT) and Master of Technology(M.Tech) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. He did his master thesis on Epoxidised natural rubber at Indian Rubber Manufacturers Research Association(IRMRA). He also worked as a Senior project engineer at the department of polymeric medical devices at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST).
