Assistant Professor of Robotics
Structural unit: Institute of Technology, University of Tartu
Duties and responsibilities: Conducting lectures and seminars in the area of robotics and computer engineering on PhD, Master and Bachelor level, in particular Bachelor and Master level courses on electronics and digital logic. Supervising students on all levels, PhD level will be appreciated. Participating in the research activities (present activities include robotics, smart materials, medical engineering) of the Institute of Technology.

Research activities: Associated professor will work in [[Main Page|Intelligent Materials and Systems Lab]. Correlation with current research activities will be appreciated, but not required. A new research activity in robotics will be encouraged by Institute.
Work load: Full time and the classroom teaching load at least 224 academic hours per calendar year. Teaching load is negotiable depending on PhD student supervising and scientific results.
Term of contract: 01.09.2013 to 31.08.2016 with possible extension and upgrade to Associate Professor at any time.

Salary: The salary is negotiable depending on the candidate's qualification and the level of experience. (2500+)
Required qualifications:
PhD or an equivalent qualification.

Required experience:
Candidates are expected to have university level teaching experience and didactic skills, experience in academic supervision of graduate students, research profile relevant to robotics, computer engineering and a strong international publication track record.
Required language skills:
English; any other language will be considered as an advantage.
